Accept and Reject Changes in a Contract in DocuWalk

Accept and reject Contract Changes

A user who has an editing permission has also a permission to accept or reject changes in a contract.

  1. If there is only 1 person (Document Owner), they can accept or reject their own changes.
  2. If it is a one-sided collaboration (including all document collaboration scenarios and the contract scenario before a counter party is invited), everyone who has an editor right or above can accept or reject changes made by anyone.
  3. If a counter party has been invited to a contract, participants from the same side cannot accept or reject each other's changes. Changes must be accepted by the counterparty in the editor. Similarly, any change made by a counter party has to be accepted or rejected by someone who has editor rights or above from the issuing party.

A user with an editing permission is able to carry out a list of actions:

  • Selecting a section to turn on inline editor to format input fields
  • Entering data into empty input fields required
    • A new entry will be highlighted in yellow as typing
  • Making changes to values of editable fields
    • A previous value is striked through in red
    • A new entry will be highlighted in yellow as typing
  • Accepting, rejecting, changing or commenting on a proposed entry by a counter party
    • Accept: the striked through previous entry gets removed, and the yellow highlight is removed from a proposed entry so that it is confirmed
    • Reject: the striked through previous entry gets restored, and the yellow highlighted entry is removed
    • Change: the striked through previous entry gets removed, and the yellow highlight entry becomes red strikethrough, and the new changed value is highlighted in yellow to denote a new proposed entry.
